Backstreet Boy NICK CARTER has opened up about his ex PARIS HILTON in a new tell-all memoir, claiming that she was “the worst person in the world” for him to date, as she “fed” his most destructive habits at a time when he was deep into substance abuse.
These days, Nick Carter is doing really well. He recently got engaged to girlfriend Lauren Kitt, and the Backstreet Boys recently announced their upcoming world tour for their 20th anniversary… things couldn’t be better for him.
Of course not too long ago, the singer nearly died of an overdose following a longstanding battle with substance abuse.
Nick tells In Touch:
“I could’ve ended up a tragedy… During the height of my problems, I did Ecstasy, cocaine and drank a large bottle of vodka a night.”
He continues:
“I regret taking Ecstasy… The amount I did caused changes to my brain that are responsible for my bouts of depression now.”
Another thing he regrets from that period in his life? His toxic relationship with hotel heiress and infamous party girl, Paris Hilton.
In his memoir, “Facing The Music and Living To Talk About It,” Carter admits:
“Paris was the worst person in the world for me to hook up with… [She] fed my worst impulses as far as partying.”
As for his healthy new lifestyle, he shares:
“It’s hard… But I’m constantly reminding myself that I like this person better than the person I used to be.”
