Unlike him and fake nemesis Jimmy Kimmel, Matt Damon is very close to Ben Affleck. Fortunately for us, the duo are willing to include other people in their circle… even for just a day.
This week, Damon and the award-winning director-actor offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to become their new best friend by auctioning off a “double date” that includes a stay at a 4-star hotel and special attendance at a Hollywood event to benefit their charities-Damon‘s Water.og and Affleck‘s Eastern Congo Initiative.
Before we welcome the weekend with open arms, here’s a look at the hottest celebrity sightings from the last 24 hours.
Jessica Alba stepped out in style for a meeting in Beverly Hills on Friday. The 32-year-old actress arrived in an oversized bright orange scarf, t-shirt, rolled up jeans and grey pumps. On the same day, Alba’s upcoming film Machete Kills unveiled its newest trailer.
On the east coast, Nick Jonas joined his brothers Kevin and Joe in Palm Beach, Fla. as the guys stopped by a radio station to talk about their upcoming album and tour. Sorry Nick Jonas fans, he wore a shirt today.
Also on a promo tour this week is Lily Collins, who was in Philadelphia to talk about her new film The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. The 24-year-old star donned a sheer red and black top, black shorts and matching knee-high boots for her appearance on Good Day.
In other sightings, Britney Spears was all smiles at a Gelson’s supermarket in Thousand Oaks, Calif., Chris Brown was spotted on the set of a new music video in L.A. while Florence Welch hung out with Daisy Lowe in the Big Apple.

Deadline have just announced plans for a fifth film in the Bourne Franchise. And once again Jeremy Renner will be reprising his role as Aaron Cross from The Bourne Legacy. Personally, I couldn’t be happier. While I enjoyed the original trilogy with Matt Damon, there was something about the fourth film, the first not to feature him, that I found surprisingly good.
I think the decision to open up the back story on where the original title character came from, namely Project Treadstone was an inspired one. If you’re going to lose your leading man, you had better have something meaty to tantalise the audience with. What the fourth film cleverly did was have the ramifications of Jason Bourne’s actions in the third film indirectly leading the actions of Ed Norton’s Eric Byer to take out anyone connected with the black ops projects linked to Treadstone (of which the public has become aware) to protect the government’s secrets.
Immediately The Bourne Legacy felt ‘bigger’. We might have had Jason Bourne travelling the world in search of secrets but it always felt like one man’s story. While we had a new hero, Aaron Cross, we were also introduced to the super soldiers and the scientists involved in their enhancements. Rachel Weisz’s Doctor Marta Shearing also gave us a strong female lead, perhaps lacking from the first three films, a love interest but also a connection to the government projects and ultimately a victim herself. With both characters forced to go on the run, we had more connections as an audience, characters who also came across as more sympathetic.
There’s no news yet on whether Rachel Weisz or Matt Damon may be making a return for Bourne 5, but here’s my thoughts on where the film should go next.

MATT DAMON has kidnapped and held JIMMY KIMMEL hostage in order to avenge himself after a decade-long fake feud.
As a little teaser to Matt Damon‘s much-anticipated full-length guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel‘s show after (fake) feuding with each other for 10 long years, the pair have created a video showing the “Bourne Supremacy” star holding the comedic host hostage to a chair.
And in case you were living under a rock and have no idea how they started “fighting,” the video starts with clips of Kimmel ending his shows by repeatedly apologizing to Damon for “running out of time” for his supposed appearances.
The joke eventually led to years of poking fun at each other with supposedly foul jokes, which sometimes involved their then-girlfriends.
But at long last, Damon gets his revenge… and we have to wait and see what happens next.
