Drew Barrymore and her mini-me stepped out in their casual best on Friday, as the pair were spotted taking a stroll in New York City.
Little Olive Barrymore Kopelmann, who flashed a wave to nearby shutterbugs, has a huge celebration coming up later this month: her first birthday.
“We have a little party going on for her, a little first birthday that my sister-in-law is throwing,” Barrymore told Us Weekly recently.
In other celebrity sightings of the day, Blake Lively donned another red-carpet stunner at the beauty in Wonderland presentation in Milan, a pregnant Halle Berry grabbed lunch at Madeo’s in Los Angeles while Kellan Lutz signed a pair of his favorite jeans for auction.

Two is better than one for Drew Barrymore, who has drawn on her own childhood experience as she plans her family with husband Will Kopelman.
“I was an only child, and it was lonely,” she says in the September issue of InStyle.
“Some people love it and thrive on the independence, but I want my kids to have other kids around. Maybe two kids so they can run around life together, roll their eyes at their parents together like Rusty and Audrey Griswold from [National Lampoon’s] Vacation. So however that’s going to come about, it’s gonna happen!”
However, the actress and cosmetics connoisseur admits that parenting daughter Olive, now 10 months, is “a lot of pain and a lot of nervousness.”
“I love the person who said, ‘Parenting is like wearing your heart on the outside of your body.’ It’s the most beautiful, perfect analogy. I have anxieties about how much I’d like to get it right, making sure I provide her with an environment that’s safe, nurturing and loving. And silly and free, also consistent and grounding.”
Barrymore, 38, adds: “Then I just have the same typical fear every other parent has: Are they going to fall down?”

Make room on your coffee table – Drew Barrymore is coming out with a new book.
The actress is ready to release her first photography book, Find It in Everything. Due out Jan. 14, 2014, the 96-page collection will feature only one thing: hearts. The photographs are all of heart shapes in everyday scenarios – revealed in a straw wrapper, or a hole in a T-shirt, or a scallion in a bowl of miso soup – that Drew has snapped during the last decade.
“I have always loved hearts,” she writes in the foreword to the book, already available for pre-order on Amazon. “The way that continuous line accomplishes the most extraordinary thing – it conveys love.”
Over the past few years, Drew has added photographer to her long list of credentials, pointing her lens for V magazine and a Tommy Hilfiger campaign and landing an exhibition at International Center of Photography in New York City. And she made no secret of her plans to publish her work one day.
“I’d like to work on my book of photography,” she told PEOPLE in 2009. “I’ve been taking photos for like 10 years so that’s a goal for this year. Even if I just start it … everything is just a mess and I need to archive it all. So I’d like to focus on my photography.”
At last, she has. And now it all makes sense why she joined Twitter just yesterday.
